    Monday 30 November 2015 to Tuesday 22 December 2015
    • Gateshead Camera Club started life in November 1910, and has witnessed many developments in the photographic field in its 104 years. Over the last few years digital imaging has resurrected what was maybe a flagging interest in photography, now everyone takes pictures at the drop of a hat. A friendly bunch of about fifty men and women make up the membership of Gateshead Camera Club and meet weekly between September and April in St. Helen’s Church Hall Low Fell, to both enhance and share their creative skills.

The aim of this exhibition is not only to take full advantage of such a locally attractive venue, but also to demonstrate through our images, the range and diversity in interest and subject matter photography affords to even the amateur in the field. This is a selection of our work, personally chosen by the individual photographers, there are personal favourites with winter and people themed prints, in both the medium of monochrome and colour. The exciting thing about photography is it is a very personal thing and everyone’s interpretation is different, hence the great variety of work on display.
